3-Shiba Inu:
Shibas, the proud and spirited dogs of Japan, have captivated the hearts of dog enthusiasts all over the world. Not only are they alert, active, and attentive, but they are also known for their remarkable health. Shibas have a sturdy physique, and with the right diet and exercise, they make a perfect companion for those who value good health. Their natural instincts and high energy level also make them great pets for outdoor adventures. Though they can be strong-willed, Shibas are intelligent and highly trainable dogs that respect their owners. Hence, they continue to be one of the most popular companion breeds in Japan.
2-Lhasa Apso:
The Lhasa Apso dog breed can be described as charming and graceful with an elegant mane-like coat. These dogs were originally bred to be watchdogs and are considered sacred in Tibet. At 12-18 pounds, they are a relatively healthy toy dog breed with a height of 11 inches or less. While they are affectionate and loyal to their families, these dogs may be wary of strangers due to their breeding history. Lhasa Apsos make for great companions as well as watchdogs, so long as they are treated well and cared for properly.
1-Chihuahua :
One of the smallest dog breeds weighing less than 10 pounds, the Chihuahua is renowned for its petite size but significant personality—not to mention pointy ears and adorable round eyes.
Temperament: Chihuahuas are extremely faithful, and their pet parents are, too! In fact, individuals who have a Chihuahua often have more than one throughout their life. Intelligent, courageous, and affectionate, this breed will earn—and demand—your admiration. Chihuahuas are protective (or overly protective) of their pet parents. Most get along well with other pets but exhibit aversion towards certain dogs’ behaviors.
Grooming: Longhaired Chihuahuas require frequent brushing while the shorthaired variety only needs occasional brushing to maintain their well-groomed appearance. Their eyes should be regularly cleaned due to their close proximity to the ground, which makes them prone to collecting dirt and debris.
Exercise: Daily walks or tagging along with their family around the house is ideal for the Chihuahua.
Fun Fact: In relation to their size, Chihuahuas possess the largest brain among all dog breeds, as stated by the Central California Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (CCSPCA).
